Falling Down Heights, my daily life

All three kits died. Autopsy was performed, but nothing look unusual. My friend and I are baffled.

So sad to hear this. Sounds like they didn’t get proper colostrum to help with their immune system.

Until they are 8 weeks old I would stress all the time about them!

Sorry for the long silence. This year continues to be brutal. After having my desktop computer stolen last summer, I now lost my laptop. A cup of tea finally did it in. It had been having issues for a little while, but having to power it down after spilling the tea on it did it in.

I'm now on a glorified tablet, courtesy of my host where I'm staying. No funds to replace in the near future.

Winter has been bad already. Lots of snow, and ridiculously cold temperatures (in the -20s Celsius overnight at times). Rabbits are taking it well. It's easier to take care of them out on the back porch, at least.

Hydro (power company) has been working on the underground lines, which means they've been in the backyard digging things up (our power lines are all underground here). Which means I can't put the dog out because he would rather bark at the workers than 'do his business'. Which also means I have to go out in this terrible weather to walk him. BLEH! I did splurge and bought myself new winter boots.

And speaking of power, there is a scheduled power outage ALL DAY on Monday, so they can test things out and get them connected. It's going down to -16 tonight, with tomorrow's high only being -8. Why the heck could they not schedule these updates so they'd be done before winter hit??? Or at least delay them once it got too cold out there. I may have been through rough winters when I was up at the trailer, but it doesn't mean I *want* to do it again! I thought I was done with that!

Idiotic and poor project planning. Those morons sitting in an office at a computer don't take into account climate and weather I think.

Hope your host has a woodstove or fireplace to keep the place warm.

-17C here at the moment, calling for more evil white stuff and lake effect.... tired so tired of cold and snow...

Yeah, there's an actual wood fireplace here. Shouldn't be *too* bad, I hope. I plan on being out (doing groceries, grabbing a burger for lunch, etc) for a bit so I don't get flashbacks of winters past! :P
