Stop smoking support thread...

That is GREAT advice! I have been thinking about getting the e cig out of my life as well. Even though you can order nicotine free juice...I don't, so the nicotine is still a part of my life and body. How did you handle people smoking around you, if there were any? alot of our friends smoke and I am concerned if I didnt have my e cig i would ask for a cigarette.

Definitely still smoking today, ugh.

I, too, cannot possibly do it with a full pack. Not done trying though! Maybe when this one is gone. Bright white teeth are certainly a good selling point, though I hope I am not too yellowed yet.

I heard some terrible rumor about e-cigs exploding and hurting people? Has this ever actually happened? I'm afraid to google it, haha.

My Provari has a safety cutoff that IF it ever senses a over heating or other problem it will shut down. Under normal use e cigs are fine. The rumors are because people take magnets and batteries and stack them together to draw more power. Or make other modifications trying to draw more power, vapor, or flavor. And in doing so have made their e cig unsafe. I would never advise to use in any way than how they are intended to be used. Not saying an accident could NEVER happen...but I have had a cherry come off my cigarette when I was smoking and land on my clothes I have also had ashes fly into my eye.

I really explain my use of an edig as an alternative to smoking. I still inhale nicotine, I also am still getting that hand to mouth fix that often goes along with smoking. Meaning I have to do something with my hands. And I really didn't want to quit. Hubby did 8 years ago. My dad died from emphysema 17 years ago. Then my older sister was diagnosed with emphysema, copd and breast cancer Sept. 21, 2010. I tried cold turkey from that day forward. I made it to January 2011. But I also tacked on about 40 lbs. At the end of January a friend let me try hers and I was hooked. I was an ecig vapor now, not a smoker.

There are many many different types out there. I suggest to any who are interested to check out the ecig forum I posted about. From there find a local group and go visit shops. They have group meetings monthly in many cities. Also is a good way to try out joose as they normally have many.

As far as smoking friends go I still have many who smoke. I complain the whole time I'm out with them that they stink. Then I vape my waffle with syrup and extra butter. Mine smells MUCH better! I carry my reo with me and one extra set of batteries. I vape all day every day. I can vape indoors at many places, however I don't. I respect what ever smoking policy they have.

I am only giving this information to help. I receive no compensation. I also wish everyone the best of luck regardless to which way you quit smoking.

If you have any questions I am more than happy to try and help, just send me a message.

I don't need anything but my provari it is the best on the market!  i don't get into the coupon codes etc.....I have nothing to gain from my post.  i do not work for either company I mentioned and get nothing from it...i am just speaking from my e cig experiences over the last few years.   i don't want the thread to turn into a coupon code dropping....getting kick back advertisments like the ecig forums.

I agree the provari is bad ***. I just didn't like having to carry joose around with me, which is why I got a bottom feeder. I don't own a provari but have tried them at my vape meet in Chicago. Also have you tried joose from kick bass vapor? It's all I vape they have some awesome cig favors.

No I haven't. the liquid I like has a rich semi sweet leather tobacco flavor....sounds strange but it is REALLY good! Can you recommend a specific flavor I might try? not that I am looking for a go to...but it is nice to have a few flavors for when I want something different than the usual. Alot of the tobacco flavors I have tried have a horrible chemical flavor. Alot of the RY4's are TERRIBLE! i think mine is an RY4 but it is done very well and has a great flavor.
Forgot to add they have tanks now that go on the Provari...I usually use the tank...the only thing I don't like is I can't lay it down sideways it MUST stay upright with the tank on it. So is a bit inconvenient at times.

Gg706, I wished there were a way that I could send what I experienced through this media so that you could experience and understand what I discovered on that day – all I can do is throw words at you.
When I was 30, most of my friends smoked. We enjoyed going to trendy bars where live music played. We would order our drinks and listen to the music. The very next day, after I “closed that door”, I accompanied my friends. I enjoyed the evening – beer, music, camaraderie, but no cigs, and it wasn’t all that difficult. It does not bother me to be around people who smoke.
I found that I was dealing with two types of addictions: Nicotine, which stays in our systems for a couple of weeks, and the worst addiction – the addiction of a behavior (a habit). I loved to smoke in the morning with my first cup of coffee, after a good meal; with a nice frosty glass of beer … we all have a host of triggers that make us want to light up. The good news is all of these triggers: the glass of beer, coffee, the good meal, are all just as good without lighting up. The bad news is that the light-up impulse stays with us long after the nicotine has gone, and it will nail you at the most unexpected times. What made it easy for me was that when I “closed that door”, I adopted a whole new paradigm. I know, paradigm is just another word that means nothing to you, but to me it was a completely different view, a completely different posture. I wished I could share it.
If you are TRYING to stop smoking, you are probably doing it wrong. Trying to quit smoking using raw discipline didn’t work for me. It was like holding my arm out in front of me – sure I can do it for a few minutes, but after a while, that arm gets too heavy. Quitting cigs with that kind of discipline puts you in an impossible situation. There are other ways around this obstacle.

Special K and 555 are the two I've used most. Loved them both and yes it is hard to describe a flavor. The 555 just tasted more like a cig to me. But I got to that point where I didn't want it to taste like a cig. I think it made me want a real cig more. So I've changed flavors. I'm using a pair of rcr123a now so vaping abot 6 volts with a boge 3.0 carto. I get warm vape and throat hit like a smoke. Just doesn't taste like it. I go through about 4-6 mls per day. And it's still way cheaper than smokes. I do want to stop eventually. Probly just not today :)

Glad they finally got a tank for it, the ease or difficulty level can make or break anything. At first the ecig was very inconsistent. They have finally gotten a lot better.

Ok I figured out how to describe 555.

@ those of you who haven't had a smoke in a while DO NOT READ!!!

Ok you know when you open a fresh pack of smokes, and take a big whiff of the pack itself. That is the taste of 555. Just a little bit of heavens own sweetness added to the mix. For me it was so close to the real thing I had to stop using it.

@ those of you who haven't had a smoke in a while and you DID read that, I am so very sorry, please forgive me ;(
