Years ago, when we lived in Texas, I made rabbit for Easter. When my eldest found out, she almost spit it out. My youngest, seeing that, looked right at her, took a huge bite, and started chewing.
I served rabbit for Easter once. Since we did eat rabbit regularly, everyone ate it, but not all of them appreciated my sense of humor.

I’ve eaten deer, lamb (not weird to me though) and duck before, but that’s about it for “weird” meat. My favorite is the duck (which I’m eating duck pho now, don’t tell mine 🤫 shh). But I’d eat pheasant, rabbit, squirrel, etc. At first I just thought the deer was dry ground beef, it was for tacos I think.
Have you tried antelope/pronghorn burger or elk backstraps? :drool

Rattlesnake tastes like white meat chicken - and easily becomes just as dry
How do you cook it so that it doesn't dry out?

I can't really imagine eating rattle snake... Well, yes I can. But not catching one.

I cannot cook meat with any skill at all. I can fry hamburger. That's about it. A big hole in the fabric of my cooking skills, sadly.
