Stormcrow's Hobby Farm

Is this a plus or minus?
Will make soup that will leave an unctuous film on your lips and stick to your ribs. That's a plus.

Took twice as long to process as he should have. That's a minus.

We'll call it a mixed bag, but a mixed bag we can work with.

So much else going on, I haven;t updated in a while. Still building the greenhouse - it should be done by spring, when it won't be needed... So, how about ducks and goats?

Are you expecting a doe to kid soon, or am I remembering someone else?
Yes - one popped two (seen in the bottom picture, above). The other SHOULD have popped last week. We are in a warming trend, so I'm hopeful she does it this weekend.

That, or she simply didn't "take" (again) and is merely fat (still).

But we are ever hopeful....

They manage well on their own, mostly.

Which is good, because I know less about goats than I know about chicken diseases (which isn't much) - but as we started w/ two, have eaten three, and now have ten... they must be doing something right.

I do not need adorably cute goats. I do not need adorably cute goats.
Yeah I was thinking about a couple ... until I met a bottle baby . 🥰
I have enough trouble harvesting turkeys. I would be hip deep in goats.
