I feel for you - blackwater tank clogged on the RV. While fixing it, kneeling in a puddle of (still clean) water, I found there was a bonded ground path. RV frame was (mildly) electrified. *tingled*

Fixed now. Not the weekend chores I had planned.

My dad lived in an RV for about 30 years after he retired. He would use a bag to keep his black water tank free of solids.

I need to send a few more rounds down range. I'm in the white [and if the 6.5 Creedmore wasn't so flat shooting, I'd not be there]. Still not good enough to send those goats to camp. Haven't had time to practice.

My Dad taught me to shoot by setting up rows of cans. It was so much fun! He'd say make those cans dance.

When I built my barn, I thought it was huge. Experience has taught me otherwise. Eventually, I'll have a much bigger pole barn erected, then add sides on my own. For now, it suffices.

Also, "Barn Red" gets surprisingly hot in the FL Sun!

Is there ANY color that doesn't? The last time I was in FL, I recall the air itself getting surprisingly hot.

Just for a laugh, I got my first sunburn on August 30, walking on a beach at Lake Michigan. On my left foot; right foot was in shadow. The water was surprisingly warm. I would have brought a swimsuit and gone swimming if I'd known.

The rest of the joke: We had our first fire in the woodstove that evening.

The first barn we built here was 24x30 on a concrete slab. It costed around $6000. That's how long ago it was. Today that same structure would be $$$$$. We have added some smaller barns and shelters since.

I think barns are like chicken coops. Build it larger than you think you need. Then if you can, build it bigger than that. In the south lots of up high ventilation.

I too found out Barn Red can get so hot in the summer sun you can't lay your hand on it. Natural or lighter colors are best.

If I could have learned all these things in the beginning.....but as I've said before seems we often do things the hard way.

Sounds like the problem with Aussie garage/workshop combos.
We bought this house in 1991 with a standard two car garage.
10yrs later we just built right over the top of it and made is suitable for 4 cars and some workshop space, and a loft up top.
But - naturally - there has never been space in there for 4 cars, because of all the other stuff that is in there.
Being Aussies in the West - we did know about paint it white or offwhite if you don't want to melt.
