STRANGE ANIMALS AS PETS -- ANYONE HAVE ANY?

The animals we have other than poultry are a cockatoo, fancy mice, 3 pairs of starlings, and a bengal cat. The starlings were caught last year in our duck pen and they werent that hyper so we kept them, we have all 3 pairs inside, they always sing, it is so pretty. The bengal cat is the wild color, he is nuetered (sp?) his name is Lance, he just lays around all day.

I used to have Giant African Black Millipede's. They were my babies!! They are so much fun!!!! I had serveral..my first was Lego, then there was Tex, then Mr and Mrs Hermie. It was very sad for us when Mr Hermie died this past winter

I also had Mutt and Jeff, my Madagascar Hissing cockroaches...I loved them!!

I had 23 Egyptian Spiney mice, A 6 ft Iguana (Beast) I had about 22 rats, Ezmerelda my giant skink and a Uyromastic lizard. I had about 5 or 6 different breeds of snakes from corn snakes to Boas....and among them all one of my favorites were my tarantulas, Amber and Harry.....


Those are my strange pets!!! I love them all!!!

i once found a stray baby elephant..it was so adorable i just had to take it home..thing is i didnt have any were to keep it..apart from the chiken coop..any way cut a long story short ..have you ever seen a fully grown elephant that thinks its a chicken.?.well i have..lol

I'm not sure how odd this is, but my family has a Mexican Grey/Timber Wolf as a pet. Originally she belonged to my brother, but he moved out so I kind of "inherited" her. Cheyenne's a sweet old girl (she's ~85 lbs, 12 years old) and a troublemaker to the core. Her parents and grandparents were both domesticated, so she doesn't know she's a wolf. Really, she's more like my little sister. ^_^
Plus she has fun golden eyes.

Hi Everyone.. I loved reading about all the different kinds of pets. I too have an affinity for the different critters and saving all the sick/hurt ones. (Much to my hubby's dismay) Right now I have 6 Silkies, 2 Belgian d'Uccles (mille fleur), 2 Black Rosecombs, 1 Buff Laced Polish, 1 Belgian Quail D'Anvers, 1 Black Tail Buff Old English, 1 Black Old English and 5 beautiful white Silkie Showgirls !! They are awesome !! I also have an incubator full of Silkie eggs (wish me luck, I am new to incubation). I also have 8 rabbits (left over from my son's 4-H projects), 2 white doves, 1 white pigeon, a Prairie Dog (who would like a friend, but you can not buy them any more), a 45 pound Sulcata Tortoise, believe me when they get that bit, they sleep where they want to ! I have 4 snakes = 1 corn snake, 1 Yellow Rat snake, 1 Evergaldes Rat snake, and 1 Florida King snake, a lovely German Shepherd, and a black Manx cat, and small pond with goldfish. I love them all and it is a joy taking care of them and learning from them. Several years ago, my son and I volunteered at an animal rehab facility for a while. That was a lot of fun.
