I just got 2 Jersey Giant chicks and a Light Brama chick and put them in with my other chicks that are a week younger than them. They all arrived with light pecking injuries from each other which I have separated them to let heal.
Recently, when allowed to visit the others, one of the Jersey Giant chick is picking on/bullying my Americana chick. My Americana is the only one that she does this to; so much so that she(Americana) runs from her(JG) and tries to hide. Is she just establishing her place in the pecking order or is she bullying her? She is the only 1 out of the 3 new ones that doesn't seem to get along with all of the younger ones.
Do I wait it out, permanently separate her, or is there a way to correct her behavior?
