I had a hen that got frostbite and her comb looked like that

Yup. That's the aftermath of frostbite when the frozen parts slough off.
I have a carnation combed rooster that looks like he has a rose comb.
It doesn't affect the breeding or genetics. The offspring will be true to the breed.

Definitely frostbite. I've seen it over and over again.
