Strange!!! Did my rooster lay this egg?

Pics
Well interestingly there is such a thing as Gynandromorphs but it usually causes a mix of male/female appearances. This one looks all male front to back and side to side :/ hrmmm

In all seriousness though could this rooster actually be a hen all along, that had a bad ovary and grew up with the rooster appearance? And this soft egg is just a symptom of a somewhat functioning egg system?

A friend asked someone he knows that he called a real chicken expert and was told that there is such a rare thing as rooster being Himervadite ... guess time will tell or it will always be a mystery.
OK everyone.

THE ROOSTER DID NOT LAY THAT EGG- From the picture, that is a ROOster through and through. Also, a hen would not be so aggressive when defending 'her' hens.

'Himervadite' ??? No such thing!

People always jump to conclusions! The simple solution is usually right, even if not as exiting.

If this happened to me, I too would want to think I had a gynandromorph rooster. So I understand!

I have seen similiar eggs before. I have also had eggs removed from my run.

I think that is what happened.
