Strange marks on eggs under a broody

No worries, the year is flying by fast! Could still be some sort of bacteria growth or it could be the chick or yolk pressing up against the shell. I'd just keep an eye on it and watch out for any foul smells.
SO true!! I can’t even believe we’re almost halfway through this year!! 😱
Will do! I was only going to candle twice, but because of these two eggs, I’m going to do it the normal 3 times. I might even check on these two eggs before my second candling.

And candling doesn't hurt the eggs, some batches I candle daily and others once a week.

Update: I candled the eggs for the second time last night. These two eggs were definitely not developing further. One did for prob a couple days more. I got rid of both eggs. One stank & the other did not. I think it was the thin egg shell that was the problem. The 5 eggs that are left are developing nicely! So amazing to see the chicks move & react to the light! 🥰🙏🏻 About a week until pip time!
I’m excited I have at least one of each hen breed I own in Xena’s clutch! 2 from Xena (Alchemist Blue), 1 from Manqué (French Black Copper Maran), 1 from Rapha (French Black Copper Maran) and 1 from Hoola (Azure Egger). All bred with our one rooster, Polko (Moss Egger).
I pray they all make it through the hatching stage. And the integration phase after that.
How many people here find it useful to create a barrier between the hen & her chicks from the flock, while they are very young? I plan on locking them all in the broody kennel for the first 3 days. I hope it’s big enough (30”x18”) for 5 small chicks & mamma. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you! 🙏🏻❤️
