Wow, it sounds like your doing a great job on trying to nurse her back to her normal healthy self. Keep up the great work. Sure hope it all works out for both of you. Keep us posted. Fingers crossed your dedication to her works out.

Well it’s been two months almost three since this all started. She’s still alive. Since starting the sling that was suggested she’s been eating like a regular chicken again! I thought I should post pictures of the sling we made for her to sit in to help her out so others can use our version of it if they’d like! We used a walker, a baby car seat cover, thick ribbion or rope whateve you wanna call it just make sure it’s stron enough it won’t fray and break, and of course potty pads. I. Her case she needed more support for her chest so this is what we came up with. Helps her stand up and has helped with the swelling she had in her feet and legs from laying down all the time and it’s also helped her keep her body upright so she can swallow her food and water easily like how they’re supposed to be able to do. I’m s also helped for when we put her in her bed when needed. We’ve also noticed she feels more secure in this and doesn’t flap around or struggle to get comfortable. She stays comfortable, level, and happy. She’s also been extremely talkative since we started putting her in here. She’s also been able to recover from bed soars in this sling and it’s helped her not get them as well! It’s still comfortable enough that she’s able to sleep in it if she feels the need for a nap! If there’s any questions about it let me know! Hopefully this can help anyone else out in any similar situations where they can’t completely hold themselves up. Thank you again everyone for your help and support through all this! we can’t thank you enough.

Well she’s still alive guys and the swelling has gone down completely, she’s eating her regular chicken food now. It seems her one foot/leg is still not completely working. She’s been trying to walk and has been able to push herself up to a semi standing position when laying down but since that one leg isn’t completely working she can’t walk on her own. We’ve tried the little chair we made her and since she’s trying to walk so often she end up getting out of it so we’ve just had her in her bed but she’s doing well enough to turn herself around, her tails been up lately showing that’s she content and happy. Anyone have any ideas of how to help her get the function back in her leg/foot so we can get her back outside this spring??

Oh bless her heart! Y’all are definitely doing everything possible to help her. I see she’s able to talk to her flock as well. That’s great for her too. Good job and I hope she can someday be outside with her buddies again.
