Here I bought some sodas to go with the popcorn, no diet though! This is going to be exciting enough we'll have enough nervous energy to burn off the extra calories
i think i'm going to way too much effort for this rat. That trap is really heavy.
Anyhow, i didn't realize until i went to move the partitions this morning, that one was up on one side. i could see the rat path going under that bump up. You can see it in the pictures below. And i only got 12 pictures, 6 of which were me entering the pen in the morning (trust me, you don't want to see that spectacle) and then a cat going back and forth last night. You know, i wonder if i should just leave the pen door open at night so that cat can get the rat. That would be mother nature taking her course, and i would avoid the dreaded rat karma.
Here is the cat, first going one way, then the other:
A 6 inch track of that shape can only be a bear, unless you were near a beaver pond. Some beavers have tracks almost that large. Here's a site with lots of pictures of animal tracks. http://www.bear-tracker.com/mammals.html
Raccoon tracks are typically 2-3" long, and always less than 4" long. Adult bear tracks are at least 5" long, more typically 6-8". There's an old joke that goes,"How fast do you have to run to get away from a hungry bear?" The answer, "Faster than the other guy". No offense to my girls, but, in this case, be glad that your kids are faster than the chickens!

This is a great website! I think I found what made the tracks in your coop! It's not really Fluffy, it's a Harbor Seal!
