Are you able to keep your cats on YOUR property? That would be my concern, as a neighbour.....Seems tooo many peeps here would like to treat stray cats like an enemy. All my cats in my Avatar are feral rescues. They don't bother my chickens. They live outdoors and have a safe garage they can enter for the night. I have them ALL neutered/spayed, and do provide food and water always. They in turn provide my grounds, mouse and rat free environment.
Yeah! That is a great solution for YOU! This person has other concerns.....I think you should see if he has an owner and if not, adopt him. View attachment 1953354This is our feral kitten that my daughter caught last year at this time. He’s a terrible mouser, has only ever caught one chipmunk -which he carried around for a while and then let go, but he does catch (and eat) any BUG that dares to enter the house.
P.S. He has never bothered the chickens and he is fixed
And for your neighbours? ALL your neighbours? Please know HOW FAR a cat can roam.....My cat does not belong indoors. She comes and goes through the doggie door just like the dogs do. Plus, my cat craps outside. Win win situation for me and the cat.
Please be civil.Yeah! That is a great solution for YOU! This person has other concerns.....
The cats - once neutered and returned - STILL are an invasive species, wrecking havoc with wildlife. They also have a SIGNIFICANTLY shorter lifespan in the wild. LOSE LOSE situation, to my mind....Yes they do. Mine use the litter box in garage access, or bury somewhere in my yard. The cigars that I do find around belong to the Raccoons, opossums, and skunks that are plentiful in my urban neighborhood. There is also some scat left behind by coyotes. I do have to gather rabbit scat (goobers) to keep my dogs from munching on those.
For all the peeps that are not in favor of cats being outdoors, here is some interesting reading of a successful program. I rescued my ferals (ones in my avatar) living creatures, and put them thru the TNR, at my out of pocket expense. Should I have ended their life,,,
BTW the TNR program was adopted here in USA, from the UK, where it is successful.

Are you sure you are fully informed? http://www.tnrrealitycheck.com/basicInfo.aspI do like TNR I wish it was offered in my locality.
