Omran - you made me homesick for my Turkish friend who makes this dish very similar to yours. She doesn't use cumin, but I love the flavor and will add it next time I make her recipe.

also: a Persian friend makes stuffed onions - not the whole onion but the layers rolled up like cabbage (if that makes sense)

I watch them both cook and am amazed by how simple the recipes are and how delicious they turn out : 9
