sudden stop of ALL hens laying eggs

I haven't read all the posts but lets take a consensus.

Please send a pm so I can make a tally of the information.

1. What breeds do you have? Different breeds have different annual rates for egg laying and so far for me Dels are the winners of the 7 breeds I have.
2. How many of each?
3. Ages?
4. Where did you buy the birds? Hatchery etc.
5. What brand of feed do you use?
6. Any changes in the coop? New birds added or taken away.
7. Any recent changes in behavior other than reduction of egg laying? My birds seem to be spending more time near the coop or somedays in the coop even though the door is open and they have a covered run with it's door open to the yard.
8. Do you use added lighting to extend the day length. I have a light I put on a timer.
9. Water changed every day? You'd be surprised that some just have open dishes and don't change them for fresh water. My SIL just had open buckets anything could fall in.

Does anyone know if feed producers market their feed under different labels like other companies do?

Folks the purpose of my questions was to determine whether there was a common thread among those experience a stoppage of eggs with an unknown reason. Certainly a down turn is normal but for a complete stoppage of eggs is a sign that something else may be at work.

Of course if no one really cares that's fine too. I just thought, perhaps wrongly, that it would be interesting to see whether everyone experiencing a stoppage is using the same feed, bought their birds from the same hatchery, or just had a signicant change in the coop.

So far one responder and i have a common thing in that we have the same breed from the same hathcery.

I talked to the Amish lady that butchers chickens today and she said she has seen lots of chickens (from different growers) with roundworm this summer. More than previous years... She told me that roundworm will cause egg production to drop dramatically
