Sumatra Thread!

Ok, I have a question pertaining to the SOP and would like everyone's interpretation on it.

The SOP says the male's Tail- long, broad and flowing, carried horizontally with abundance of feathers, ends of which often drag the ground.
Sickles- long, broad and flowing
Lesser sickles and coverts- abundant. Long, broad and flowing extending well onto main tail.

Now does this mean that the whole tail, main sickles and all needs to be horizontal or just the main tail feathers are horizontal and the main sickles can be a touch above horizontal?

Thanks for your opinions on this.

The tail itself to be carried horizontal, all parts included. 1° over would be hard for anyone to tell though.

His tail needs to be like a straight line with his back how you can tell if it is horizontal. Also it is very good way to see if he has a nice good straight back. I hope I spelled straight right.

I know the feeling, mine are molting here too. Today while feeding I found the main sickles of one of my black roosters on the ground, he looks naked. My dun rooster is missing half of his and looks like a patch work quilt.

Can't wait for them to regrow.

I'm waiting for the dun rooster to finish his molt so I can get some good pictures of him for CSU before the sumatra section comes up there. And hopefully get some better pictures of the others as well, but if the sumatra section comes up before than, I have some pictures that will work.

Who all plans on posting their sumatras on the CSU thread?
