Sumatra Thread!

Okay so about 2 weeks. I would not worry about the spurs/nubs being visible yet. I gently ran my finger along the back of the leg and feel for the bump when little, now they are bigger, so here is the dark chick's legs front shot:

Now the back: If you look very carefully there is a little dot on this 4 week bird in line with the rear toe... a nub, very hard to see
l

I hope this helps, but I am sure your chicks are fine.

I see it and at least a couple of my sumatras had that little dot but now none of them do. in its place they have strange looking scales like 4 or 5 in a row, im assuming they will all have multiple spurs and I sure hope there is a female in there

OK so I figured out the picture thing and the first 3 pics are their legs where the spur nub is supposed to be and the last pic is of the group .on the first pic I am not sure because if its a nub its not very defined like a normal chicks would be.so to me that is unique ,what do you think?

Page 444 has some nice nub shots... I think to my novice eye those are multi spur nubs (I am no expert on this breed or for that matter any breed), but check out the photos on page 444.

those legs are very nice examples, that's what my chicks legs look like but in miniature and not as pronounced yet
