Sumatra Thread!

I still don't know which standard you are going by so I could not tell you. but if you where going by the american standard I would say his tale angle is too high even if it where to grow in. I hope I did not hurt your feelings.

My Pullet took "Best Variety", "Best of Breed" AND Reserve Champ! So happy with the results but a little disappointed with my rooster:( I think he still has a little bit of filling in to do....

Thats my boy in the back...

Hi every one, How are you all?
I wanted to see what you guys think of Sid (my cockerel), He hasn't been through a molt yet just so you know.He is about 10 months old.

Recently his feathers have been growing.

The British Standard doesn't state a desired angle for tails but it does describe the appearance in detail. From my reading it seems that their Standard is very similar to the US standard. It appears to me that his station is too high, his tail too high & too sparse & he looks short bodied. To my eye his face is too light as is his leg colour. He's single spurred & multiple spurs are preferred.

Yes sir is was...not the biggest of show but still an enjoyable event. I think it was great for me at least because it was my first show to actually register birds:) I know I may not do this well at a much bigger show but we'll see. There will be many more to come!

It's not a big show but it is a very competitive show. A win there is a good win.
