Sumatra Thread!

lol It was the supreme champion poultry blanket, more like a regular blanket, but embroidered with the year and supreme champion. It was our local fair.

although, maybe we should have chicken races for youth next year and make some little neck wreaths

I am going to our county fair in about a month. I have only three sumatra hens that are going to be in good condition for that show. I going to try to go to more shows this year. Congrats on the win Infnityhrt .

FlGirl........ love the lacing on your pullet.....she is a pretty girl.

Thanks, I love them too, There are so many breeds I would love to have, but Sumatras will always be my passion, don't know exactly what it is about them, but I just LOVE THEM!!

Yep it sure is. Hopefully my roosters will be ready they are looking really nice. I know my young stock will be ready they are also looking really nice as well. I know in the photos they don't look very nice but they are very young still.

Hey guys wanted your opinion on my pullet, Peanut. She's supposedly 6 months old and she seems fairly small to me. What do you all think of her? She's my only hen with really yellow soles. Is 1 1/2 lbs small for a Sumatra pullet at her age?

Wanted to post some updates. This is Blue at 6 months now. Opinions? His feet are still pretty light.

She's got some nice lacing, can't comment on the weight as I haven't weighed my youngsters, just my adults. Need to remember to catch them tonight to try and put into a pen, I'll try to remember to weigh them than, but my oldest youngsters are only 4 to 5 months old.
