Sumatra Thread!

not to me. I've seen them in person pretty big difference.
He looks more like a modern now with a funky tail than any line of sumatra, perhaps with some more back breeding it will shape up pretty good though.

Do you know what is the average weight in German Sumatras?,I dont have a clue how much they weight
I have only seen them in pictures in the wed.

that may make a good difference in his apperance too, didnt know he had been feather picked.
Not sure of weight standard on the Germans, but they are huge compared to the American ones I have seen.
Saw a ladies imports when I was up looking at her other long tails the other day. They are beautiful birds for sure.

This is my little Platinum Sumatra chick, I'm so enamored with this one, I want so much for it to be a pullet.

Her hatch mate is either a dark Blue, or Black Sumatra. Any guesses?

I didn't notice the fuzz on their shanks until you pointed it out BBB, I'll have to take a closer look when I get home.

Where could the feathered shanks have came from?
