EDITED: Oops, just had time to skim the last page and saw it is full. Darn. Will try another block swap soon!

Sorry I didn't have time to go through all of the pages yet. Is there any spaces open still? I would love to try my hand at some quilting squares.

I run my own small sewing business and love sewing stuff up for around the house, too. Nothing fancy though - but would finally like to try my hand at some quilting squares. :)

Please let me know! Thanks :)

Several yrs ago my Mom and her 6 sisters, several of their daughters and family friends, decided to have a "High Tea" You have to realize we all love to dress up and have a great time together. We also have several Brit friends who supplied the scones and clotted cream, Auntie supplied the fresh strawberry jam, others the tiny sandwiches. We all had a wonderful time, the elders told tales of growing up in the great depression, and tattled on each other!
Any way I though you might like to see the table for the "High Tea".

How lovely and what wonderful memories you have. Thanks for sharing

I love Tea, little finger sandwiches, little cakes, and of course the hats. When I have both of my Granddaughters over at the same time, we often have Tea together, with the hats (they wear one of mine) and pinkies in the air. Special times and special memories. Let's do have tea together!

You should post a pic I bet it is just darling. I do hope we can figure out how to do a tea together.

Rusty Hen,

That table looks just wonderful. What an occasion. I wish I had memories like that.

I think the idea of a high tea is coming together. I like the idea of tiny sandwiches, maybe cucumber with the crusts cut off. I have know idea why that is what we think the landed gentry in England eat. What else can we have to make it international. May be we can each ask round a few family or friends & post a picture of the event.

To get the time started, I am sitting at my computer in England at 20.15hrs. We should be able to work out an equivalent time from the time up in the left hand corner of this message where it tells you how long ago it was sent. Also pm's have a time on them. Is this East Coast time?

Hello,
so it is 8:15 pm and about 3:15 Eastern time, so the ladies out in California would be a couple of hours earlier so we could do this. Cucumber sandwiches sound really good and what else goes with a high tea? Some sort of tart or little pastries? Do you put butter on the cucumber sandwiches? I think Marty would be central time zone so they are an hour behind us.

I picked up my fabric today for the swap. I am thinking of doing a "square in a square in a square" block. Once I get it washed and do a test block I will post a pic.
