Summer reading ideas or maybe a BYC book club.

No. I did start the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. A few teachers did a young adult book club. I really enjoyed the first couple of books. Should probably finish that one.....
That one sounded interesting.

Unwound is also very good, but again has very sensitive themes

I've recently read The Naturalist by Andrew Mayne (series of 4 books; that's the title of book 1) and enjoyed it very much. Murder mystery genre.

Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn is excellent. I don't know if it would be as good in audiobook form, but that's just me. It's a novel for people who love words, if that makes sense.

It does, thanks. I love to turn pages myself, but don't get as much done. I quit a book recently (Lily and the Octopus) because the way the narrator voiced the dog got on my nerves big time. Decided I would read it myself if i was going to finish it.

Oh, yes. The Hate you Give was so good. (Sorry to barge in like that 🤣 )
Barge in? This is a thread about books and opinions. No apologies! If you haven't read Concrete Rose, get on it and please tell us what else you have read that we shouldn't miss out on. Any genre!

This looks fun! I might join after I finish my current series. I’ve been going through all the books I missed out on reading in Highschool so the latest is the Hunger Games. I actually enjoyed it a lot it seems very well written.

I found Ella Minnow Pea on the app. Looks great! Thanks @Sally PB . Not a new one, but have you read Conrack by Pat Conroy? I love all his books. Not just "The Prince of Tides." Low country poetry!
