We still call that a scrambled egg... lol...even if its not mixed in the skillet.. Eggs with a bit of milk and beat and put in pan and just fry it in the circle you mentioned on bread is a scrambled egg sandwich..here anyway... if someone asked me if I wanted a fryed egg sandwich here it would be a over easy or over medium egg on bread..

Its so funny how so many places all call the same thing something different..

Southern, I didnt mean to make you feel that way, I just never heard of them being fried eggs. You are right tho, different places in the US are just like being in another country. I have a heck of a time because I am a misplaced almost southerner.

No an omelet is an omelet, and a fried egg is a fried egg, Omellets need a filling or they are just an egg, even if you fold it over, its still just an egg.

It's ok y'all. We all call things differently. Different strokes for different folks...that's what I always say.

We should start a thread about different ways to cook eggs and what we all call them.

I made hard boiled eggs tonight. They were GREAT!

In fact all I had all day was sunnyside up eggs and hard boiled eggs. I'm an official egg freak now.

I like mine hard fried. When you crack them in the pan, you poke the yoke and squish it really good and keep pressing the spatula on it till the yoke is fried hard, no runny yoke for me.

Well now, was just lookin up in Wikipedia and Julia Childs has a recipe for an omellette WITHOUT anything in it but salt and pepper. I am not arguing of course, but I eat omellette's all the time with nothing in them but egg.

And MD just loves to argue. I ALWAYS look forward to seeing what he has to say. Cracks me up. Usually I love to argue too, but on the net it seems to get me in trouble, when I am really joking it comes across serious. sigh...
