[New duck mommy 2021]

This is the abuse I am going through for these ducks.

We are really cold in Alberta
I’m doing all I can to keep my birds from freezing
I still do my daily cleaning of the coop
Tonight my goose wouldn’t leave me alone
She wanted attention
Climbing on my lap , digging in my pocket looking for my phone. She loves to pull it out. I put it back and she does it again and again
She wants me to pet her
What should have taken me a half hour ended up being 2 hours
The coop was at -10
What I do for these birds

She is such a loving goose. Her gander was standing behind her not one bit worried about his wife bugging her mom. He is such an amazing boy ! They are fully in mate and she did lay eggs for 3 weeks. This cold snap she stopped laying
And he is not aggressive at all towards us humans

We are under power grid alert
And we are suppose to get to -39 C with windchills of -48

Another day of -35°F with wind chills down -65°, broke ice up that was 4 inches thick with 0 eggs this morning since we lost power to Waddle Wattle Inn due to extreme cold on the inverter.

Our energy company sent out alerts for power outages. Its not suppose to be that cold here, negative 25 is the coldest.
I gave the chickens some oatmeal this morning.

Thankfully Saskatchewan helped by sending us power from coal
The plants notley removed from Alberta when she was in power
No idea how one person can decide the fait of 4 million

Im glad you were atleast able to have power last night.
We have a small generator if power goes out, as our whole house generator isnt working right now.
