@BelovedBirds do you have a dog crate for them ?
My girls just love to lay in the dog crates
They also go broody in them
Bonus it keeps my eggs very clean too

They have a duck house, in which a nest box which is where they lay their eggs- its open to them all the time

In fact, it's from behind their house she was getting dirt from!
She fills the bucket until its thick mud and then retires to her late afternoon nap!

What a crazy girl
I did buy a big sandbox last year that I plan to add a water bucket in the middle and dirty around it
Let them have fun digging in mud and hopefully leaving my grass
I don’t mind them eating the grass keeps me having to mow it so much but tearing the grass right out and drilling holes I’m not a fan of. Last year I pulled the flowers out of the flower bed area as they are not duck safe anyway and I set water buckets along them
They loved it

That's a really nice idea, I may steal that idea!
I have a spare paddling pool which could be turned into a mud spa! Just occasionally though. Don't fancy cleaning it out all the time 😂

Our spoiled ducks need playgrounds
I thought about hiding cat food and mealworms in the dirt
Wonder if the lucky one who finds the treasure will alert the others or keep it to themselves

Last year I bought a water pad for them
They loved chewing the water that sprays up and playing in the puddle at the bottom of it

That's adorable!!!
When my girls were inside they loved going in the shower!
They'd bite up at the water and splash under it. They had a lot of fun!
