Any mixed breed dog that is bought from a breeder is unethical.

To put this into more description, when you breed a poodle and a golden retriever to get a "goldendoodle" its a mixed breed dog, or a designer dog. Then they up the prices to make money. If you breed a golden retriever and a golden retriever and all the clearances are done, then it is considered ethical breeding.

My husky mix is the only dog I trust around my girls. Never loose together, but she's been really good with them through mesh/carriers. She sniffs them through the mesh and wags her tail. Loves them, but gives them space and isn't obsessed.
Would never trust my malamute that close.

You know more about dog breeding than I do, but is it always unethical?

Yes. First off breeders don't health test as they should, and only breed for color and cuteness. They also refuse to prove their dogs. Lastly, they breed way too many litters and from the same dog each time

My malamute is pedigree, supposedly well bred. But I know she isn't.
She's had tons of issues. She was the only one of the litter left, no one wanted her. I assume she was a runt

Aww. I hate when people do that. My newest pup, i bought as a purbred golden, his parent had all the testing done. But now i think he is a mixed breed, his DNA test is sent off im just waiting for results

Ehhh sort of. Purpose bred mixes exist, but are not often available for the public. So for example in certain dog sports you can see some purpose bred mixes like the border whippet in flyball. But again, you're true in that those dogs are not usually available for the general public, rather working homes

I can trust my one golden with my chickens and ducks, she wouldn't hurt a fly, my puppy on the other hand wants to eat the ducks
