Ohhh gotcha. I was surprised, though because all the other males would try to mate the broodies but not my Rouen drake, he'd just chase all the other males off when they tried to mate, and once or twice he was trying to sit on the eggs himself

I caught my husky sitting on an egg last summer
The first time my girl went broody I only had 2 ducks and this time I had her and her mate inside as she needed a break from all the other boys
