Support Group for Abused Duck Keepers

I don't disagree 🤣
Having them inside isn't an experience I'm keen to repeat. I was constantly cleaning their pen, windows open, and it still stank most of the time :th

Heck, even chickens are a mess. Imagine having ducks!

Yep! Especially when they shove that straw in their water buckets :rant
Not to name names coughDougie.
I always start out the year with layers of straw all over the run, and within 5 weeks it's impossible to tell that there was ever hay there.

Wait ducks make a mess of straw to?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. My chickens always have straw in the water.
oH yEaH 100% :lau. I hate that I can't just keep the straw in one place, and dry. Plus its always so tempting to put that fresh dry straw down but the next day there's so much of it in their pond that I can't even drain it sometimes.:th

Use fake grass around the pond
Much better then dirt , straw or shavings

Is any kind of fake grass suitable? Are they clever enough to not try and eat it?
Trying to figure out a new substrate/setup myself. I considered patio slabs around the pond over some kind of drainage system, but I'm not sure it would be great for their feet. Plus it's expensive
