Support Group for Abused Duck Keepers

Lmao. It's an online thread. If I find you annoying, I can just stop reading.

That said, I haven't found you annoying yet, by all means. Please go on...🤣

OK great here it goes. Last year I got a broody hen from a friend, she sat perfectly for two to three weeks and then broke:he. You might say fluffy, that means that this year she'll definitely go broody again! Well my friends, I thought so too. Two weeks later she escaped two pens flew outside the property and got caught by some builders nearby

I have an ever growing little rubber duck collection on my dining table. They are all gifts or finds as if left out for me. Your niece must be a kindred spirit

Rubber duck collection is a pretty big thing here. In every different city you visit, and every different country you'll find different ducks to add to your collection. I have though about starting a collection, not too sure yet

Got caught by builders?

Also, sorry I didn't scroll up far enough.

Well, if there's only maggots in the bowl, you can feed it to the chickens?

The ducks will always carry food and water to the other feeder. It's how they eat, and how they manage to make the biggest mess(outside of just playing in water). I tend to give them bath time while cleaning out their brooder.

I have never fed my ducks grapes. I have fed them spinach. They think it's crack. It doesn't produce terrible poop, it does produce green poop. Lol
It’s in the baking tray, and they’re not big enough to feed to chickens.

No need to apologize! But yeah, most likely. They were building something in a nearby house, and one day the whole neighborhood heard her screaming, and after a few minutes of trying to locate her, she was gone. It's important to note that she had been out of the property for two days at this point, I just didn't have a net big and long enough to catch her, because she was WILD, and would fly when you got too close. Seems like the builders did what I couldn't. I was giving her water in a paint tray and I threw food near her daily as well. Now the reason I believe it was them is because the paint tray went missing along with the hen, and second of all the car the builders used to get around left around the same time
