Newby here. These are my two week old babies. They're feathering in nicely and I love the coloring, especially on the redder ones, but are the red sussex? Will they molt again to adult feathers?

Well darn, the pics didn't come through. Lets try again.

Did you get them from Sandhill Preservation?

They look like they will turn out red, but I dont know if they are going to look like sussex, because I have never seen a red sussex.

I like them though!

I used to have Red Sussex from Sandhill Preservation about four years ago and yes the chicks do look like that!

Unfortunately I got rid of all of them when they were about two months of age but my friend that bought them from me said that they ended up as red buffish color with white spangles on each feather. One chick had white legs and the other two had yellow. They must have white legs which yellow is a fault.

I bought some of these eggs also from Ebay and they just hatched. I can tell you they are not Red Sussex. The Yellow legs gave them away.I do have a pair of red sussex but they are older.
Sorry but we got scammed.

sorry havent got the pics but my batteries wont hold a charge so i have to get some more and keep forgeting em when im in town...
