Lilac padded out and sat down at the river bank, she smelled wolf. She raised her nose again, the wolves at least a mile off. She stabbed her paw quickly into the freezing water, then he other. Lilac fully stepped into, she shivered and waded further into the river. Lilac stood in the deepest part, up to her neck. She swam around, after an hour she left and shook out the water. Lilac was still damp when she returned to the cave.
