Ralphie, I would just like to mention that the rabbits and deer are also advocates of free range gardens.

I use a natural control method to keep Deer and rabbits out of the garden. It consists of strategically placed urine and lead. It is a very organic deterrent.

Judy and I have decided we are going to have a Camp Day party in their honor. It will not be a huge event, My Kids want some of them and to be honest for Judy and I a skinny rooster is plenty of meat. When I raise the huge CX's we end up eating chicken 3 days in a row to use it up.

Maybe you should have a camp day party. I would come and even bring my own Mikes.

Lucky you! I am trying to figure out my day. I found I need more coffee than normal to get going. I am going to Elk River to get feed, and things.....Menards is calling for my wallet....

LOL...yep I am headed to L & M Supply in Virginia after work. Need horse feed, some feed dishes, and whatever other cool things I can find

it's the closest in comparison to my favorite Farm & Fleet store in Wisconsin. Menards was last week.

You have a long drive to get supplies, I forgot about that from when we lived up there.

yea, I think it's about 75 miles...kinda wastes your whole day driving but it can't be avoided. It's the price you pay for living in paradise .

We try to keep it down to once a month for our basic necessities ( at walmart ), and once every 2 or 3 months for the animals (L & M and Dans Feed Supply in Superior)

Oops I forgot an important piece of news last night. When I put Ethel and her guineas away she only had six, I found the dead one, I assume it is the one that spent the night outside. Keets are so susceptible to pneumonia when they get cold and damp. Even though it looked good, it probably wasn't.
