I was left unsupervised today . Got on Craigslist . Found new listings for tools I was looking for . I think DW was not as impressed as I was .

I need to take lessons from Ralphie on how to hide purchases . So I now have a 12 inch planer , welder , cutting torch and a box scraper for my tractor .

Oh I have one less coon prowling the chicken fortress .

You would not need to hide a purchase like that. The planer is to make her that buffet (or whatever she has wanted for years). The welder is to attach the legs to it, the cutting torch is to cut the legs to the right length, and the box scraper is for applying alternating coats of finish to the buffet... NEVER say anything is for your tractor. If at sometime in the future she mentions it, you just feign stupidity and tell her you were mistaken the box scraper was not what you thought it would be, you made an error.

When she asks where her "buffet" is you tell her you are working on it. Like right now I am working on a new walnut table for the dining room. I have the walnut trees in a bucket outside and plan to plant them soon.

Also, lead with the dead coon and hopefully the other stuff will be forgotten... BTW Judy has told me she thinks I need a new mower for behind the ATV. I have only mentioned a few times how crappy the ditches look in front of the house and how nice it would be if we could now them....

She said this morning, I was thinking your right the ditches look terrible. We need to do something about them.

When she asked what kind of mower it would take. I told her one for behind the ATV.... Then added but they are expensive, I saw one at Runnings. But they wanted $2900... (That is true)

Today while going through craigslist I saw the one I still want is not sold yet. I said " look at this a mower for the ATV for 725!! She looked at it and said ' That's a lot cheaper than a new one, I think you should get it"....

Now I need to get it for her... I have no choice, If I did not, I would be a bad husband...

Closest I could find to bowing down .

Morning everyone . Getting some rain here . Pulled weeds yesterday evening . Tied up tomato plants . Lots of slicer cucumbers about ready . I like the burpless kind . They have fewer seeds and can get really long if left . This is the mess of weeds after 2 weeks . Many of you have less weed species up north . So envious of your lack of weeds .

Morning all..

I am still in Shakopee. I hope everything is good at home. I think I am getting too old for grandpa daycare. I am tired and it's not even 10!

I am finding my garden a dichotomy of plant growth. I have Zuchinni, squash and pumpkins that are putting on lots of vines, huge leaves and very few blossoms. Then on the other side I have my dukes that are extremely small plants but producing quite well. I cannot figure out what I did wrong or right.

My tomato plants are small except for one that is huge. The pepper are all small but producing lots of peppers. The egg plants are hopeless as the rabbits have destroyed them.

I bought 4 loads of compost (88 yards total) and mixed in, I am wondering if I did not get it mixed in evenly or well enough in places.

I will never have beans this year either, but that is completely the rabbits fault.

It appears we are in for a few miserable days. I hope everyone stays cool. I am thinking this could be beer drinking weather, I might have to forgo Mike's for the week.

We r getting closer to showtime! Just thought I would show you all how the Bucks are shaping up! I'm really liking them and may have to get more one day
