Surviving Minnesota!

Their crop is empty at night, and they won't even eat live meal worms...

cluck cluck molt isn't even a hard one. Mothers is, but Tisha is the worst, and she is eating fine. ..

All this rain we have had may have some nasty water around they drank. I would consider doing a toxin flush to see if that perks them up. I have used Epsom salt water and filled their crop with it using a syringe. Take them off food to do this, then start them on ACV water for a day or two, the yogurt next, then back on feed. For my bunnies when they go off feed, I give them pumpkin puree and they perk back up too.

Just a question. Do duck eggs taste like chicken eggs?

Pretty close but they are a richer yolk, thick consistency in the white, clearer in appearance of the white, and take longer to cook.

One thing I think is really cool about duck eggs is the shell, it is SO smooth and I think it is funny how they break is like safety glass, they don't really just crack open.

Happy Friday all! Hope you are all well

Picked pumpkins and sunflowers last night. I never got out and thinned down my sunflowers like i should have. Ive got tons of flowers that are only maybe 4" across. Too much competition!

I think I may take a half day at work today. It's supposed to be nice and I can get started on siding the garage!!

Not much to report from central mn. We are going to try to combine beans today and by we I mean my husband and father-in-law. Tomorrow we are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather holds out for high moisture corn that we combine and run through a roller mill. Then I haul boxes and husband runs roller mill. Praying for no more rain....I can't believe I just said that.

Not much to report this morning either. Skipping school and heading to my grandparents to work cows.
This morning I found one of our newest batches of market rabbits dead. They just roam the yard, but there were no cuts, may have been internal injury, it was still warm though

Really pretty sunrise though

Sorry about your bunny. Very nice sunrise!

I have proof Saint Judy is not all that bright now!

Before I go on, I have to tell you she is upset with me for something, I am not sure what.

I am minding my own business, sitting here at the table, drinking coffee, looking at BYC and reading the SOP and comparing it to the 7 month old PC pullet on my lap to them all. I think she is a winner.

I am thinking Judy might be anti-dining room chickens. It is hard to tell.

Either way, she just said, "I hope that chicken on your lap poops on you."

That is not a smart wish. Whose floor or table does she think that poop will end up on? Who does she think can outlast whom before cleaning it?

I win!!!
