Surviving Minnesota!

You need to be on the web browser and not the mobile app to get it to work..

Us younger folks know that stuff..

I picked my CLB white sport pullet for the show today and gave her a bath. I bet I will have the best looking CLB white sports at the show.

Captain AngryFace did not like his bath. He got me wet, then he splashed vinegar in my eyes. He fought me all the way. The SS cockerels acted like they get baths twice a week they were so good.

I just had to share this picture of my mare yesterday

Coop is cleaned and 5 loads of laundry. Along with a large apple crisp and steaks tonight. I love Sundays. Yesterday I helped my dad put up wood. He heats with a fireplace. I love helping with wood cutting TBH. I like being in the woods and chatting and laughing with Dad. I'm so proud he's still working in the woods. He likes it too--the exercise makes him feel good.

Ralphie the weinerhead and white sports will get some attention at the show. No doubt.

Jerry can't wait to see your mushroom pictures. Have not hunted for any since our walk. Just the incidental shaggy caps in the lawn.

I have a bunch of photos I took on Friday. I finally have a chance to post them. Enjoy!

Silver Wyandotte and Barred Rock Cockerels. These are our Aug. 3rd babies so 2.5 months. Not real impressed with the Silver W's markings. But the Rock seems to be pretty decent.

My Miss Dom that is always at my feet. She is pretty sweet and just follows me looking to be pet or held.

Dominique Cockerel #2. The wind is blowing his tail towards his head. It was pretty strong out there Friday.

a couple of the chicks at 10 days old. Based on feathering I should have 4 pullets and 5 cockerels. Pretty decent 50/50 odds I think. Just backyard crosses. It was fun to hatch them!

The 3 Silver Wyandottes 2 cockerels and a pullet. I like the pullets markings way better than the cockerels. The golden ones seem to have WAY better lacing.

Buff Orpington pullets. There is also a cockerel in the pen.

Barred Rock pullet

Both of the Barred Rock pullets here.

Golden laced Wyandotte pullet. There are 2 pullets and a cockerel in our pen.

Cuckoo Maran cockerel. Way more organized in barring than the pullets. Must be because he carries two of the barring gene??

Another Golden Laced Wyandotte. I think this is the other Pullet. The Golds are way more friendly than the silvers.

Cuckoo Maran pullet

Most of the August babies are in this picture.
