I am not into nor do I want Bantom's. .to me they are the FooFoo dogs of the chicken world....

I will be looking for something to replace the Creamettes with if I decide to have Creamettes and dumplings. I think it will be Dominiques, I have wanted them for a couple years.


I almost was done chicken farming in Feb 2016. My wife was talking about retiring, but when we factored in Health insurance for her we decided she had to keep working until she can get medicare. Her insurance was outrageous!

I am actually surprised Holm does not have any CLB's. He is famed for selling ice cubes to Eskimos. As I think about it maybe he had the first one and convinced the rest how great they are.

Mine are not afraid of anything, but they seldom if ever get out in the general population, I keep them separate for pureness in breeding. BUT if I look at them they all run. If I go into the coop they trample each other leaving the coop.

Ralph if you don't want bantams I still have that beautiful pair of Muscovy ducks!! They are the opposite of most ducks!! Don't drink as much water don't poop everywhere and don't make a mess of water!!
