Surviving Minnesota!

Wow those are so small compared to the ones I have now, that cross back to the CX's a second time did wonders for them.

Also the current Bert is now 19 months old If I have it right and going strong!

These were in Sept. They look scrawny now too. That is a 6 gallon fount next to the cockerel.

And this is the original Bert way back when, with his classic door problem, This Bert was a frog. Followed by a lizard then the current toads.

When I was in school the Black Hills were in South Dakota, and Minot was in North Dakota... Is the new Geography like the New Math and way different than it was?

Of course, when I was in school Sunrise was in the morning and Sunset in the evening and we all know how that changed...:lau

It is -9 with wind chill of -29 on top of the hill. This is a day which will alter the combs of those single comb chickens and eliminate any chicken which is not up to par health wise.

I do not like this weather and it seems it will be with us for a while. My chickens and guinea do not mind it all that much. They just stay in the coop most of the time. I am happy not to be dealing with frozen eggs, although the Ravens would enjoy some.

Plowing and shoveling yesterday and freezing one's arse off today, but this weather does eliminate much of the riff raff that would take up residence in the area otherwise?

Quote: Tell your sister never to base where she is going to college on a boy, or a friend. I've seen too many kids in this terrible predicament when things go awry. College should probably be based on cost, campus, and curriculum. But what do I know? I've never went!
