Surviving Minnesota!

I use to hate pulling calves..Good job, You saved her, Are you going to keep her for breeding or not?

I have a feeling this calf is gonna stick around for awhile. We are only gonna keep 5 heifers this fall but if there are lots of nice ones we may keep more to replace some cows.

Just pulled a 100lbs+ heifer calf out of a first time heifer. My grandpa and O each had a leg and boy what a pain. I lost my camera man in the beginning so don't even have a video. But this is the biggest calf of the year so far...

Pulling big calves is a pain. How many head do you run?

After rain last evening it is a foggy dreary start to the day. Chickens will love to free range and may find some garden hackle to consume.

Holms I am beginning to think that a career route for you may be as the next Dr. Pol associate ? The love of animals may indicate an aptitude for veterinary science ?

Ralphie, Fosston is out in the boonies. Will you be visiting Gonvick as long as you are in the vicinity ? A trip of some exotic poultry search I suspect.
