Surviving Minnesota!

I was not expecting so cold out there this morning. Still only 21? What happened. Weather said it would not get below 32 last night...

That is why I still do not have plants out in my unheated greenhouse . Surprises like that killed my plants last year . I did start to assemble the greenhouse yesterday . Just a small plastic one with a pipe frame .

Ralphie, I told you that the eggs which you kiss will hatch as pullets, and if you wish to have cockerels you must have a lady kiss your eggs !

You should have kept that sex maniac rooster to use in curing the broody hens. He would surely have worked in that required capacity without help.

Ralphie must be tending the smudge pots in the banana trees or cleaning chicken poo off his keyboard .

Good Morning Chickeners . . . . Good to hear from you BR. Beginning tomorrow chickeners, there will be a weekly review. The purpose of this review is so that those returning after an absence can quickly get updated on happenings. We, as in the Surviving Minnesota Forum Writers (SMFW) want to hear from each of us. I think we are more friends on this forum than just chickeners. We care about each other and want successful chickeners and the advice needed from the more experienced when needed. Then we get off onto idle chatter - which, in itself, is not good nor is it bad. It just is. And that is okay. When a person is having a slow day or needs to share a life experience we turn to the SMFW. Kind of.

Ralphie - are you awake this morning? Missing you.
