Ralphie, I will say I've seen the inside of the princeton emergency room a couple too many times. Once when I cut off the tip of my middle finger (kids, always use the safety guard when using a mandolin slicer) just saying.
Once when i had pneumonia (left lower lobe). Once with dh when he got t-boned by a car doing 70. This guy "passed out" ran a red light at the jackson intersection, he hit a car, my dh truck, then a van. Totaled all 3.(he has a pilots licence and they did not know why he passed out. Should he be flying?
They're was one other time I should have gone. In the shower, my foot slipped, shot out, hit the drain, went under that thing, cut my second toe right down the middle (vertically) by the spines under the drain plug thingy (I broke the it oviously). I went to the doctor after bleeding through my bandaging, socks, and shoe though. Every one had to come get a look at the clinic. So, I hear ya!
