Annnnnnnd, coop update. Brooder room is the pink room with the door open!

What a fun idea! A pink nursery for the girls. Good thinking. I think it looks like a great coop. Wheres their television? Don't all 'kids' need a television now days? Oh! Thats right . . . . they must have watched Chicken Little in the vehicle on their way home from the feed store

The 2nd reason yesterday was a chickeners dream. This was waiting sat my doorstep when I got home.

Morning peeps. Suppose to rain today, but not raining yet.

Glad you are feeling better Ralphie! Holy cats, what an ordeal!

Ill, hope your leg feels better soon, great job on the high jump, I can jump maybe 2 inches, I'm always stunned at people who can jump. Very cool.

Chickens are loving the weather, and earthworms. Heard a loon over there on the lake this morning. Nice.

So we have a Rogue Robin in the yard. The other day it buzzed me and hit my arm, now yesterday morning it sideswiped my Golden comet fee, almost knocked her over, then I saw it go after another robin. Not sure what to think is this thing? Sounds like you all are as busy as me. I just picked up some more work for this summer from Menards. Some pavers and what not. Ralphie I know what you mean about the boads at menards, We've spent countless hours sorting through many.

I've hit my head and seen stars, but never as bad as that. Being German and swede myself, I thought we were all way to hard headed for that. I'll have to be more careful! Take it easier than you did yesterday, sounds like you need more rest!

Wow, that coop sure had come a Long way, love it!

Ralphie, I will say I've seen the inside of the princeton emergency room a couple too many times. Once when I cut off the tip of my middle finger (kids, always use the safety guard when using a mandolin slicer) just saying.

Once when i had pneumonia (left lower lobe). Once with dh when he got t-boned by a car doing 70. This guy "passed out" ran a red light at the jackson intersection, he hit a car, my dh truck, then a van. Totaled all 3.(he has a pilots licence and they did not know why he passed out. Should he be flying?

They're was one other time I should have gone. In the shower, my foot slipped, shot out, hit the drain, went under that thing, cut my second toe right down the middle (vertically) by the spines under the drain plug thingy (I broke the it oviously). I went to the doctor after bleeding through my bandaging, socks, and shoe though. Every one had to come get a look at the clinic. So, I hear ya!

Well, pink wouldn't have been my choice for sure haha....but since the pink has been there for 50+ years already I figured what the heck! I want girl chickens anyway so here's to good karma

Do I see an angel food cake pan on the floor ?

I bought one at a garage sale probably 18 years ago and just yesterday I finally used it!! first angle food cake ever from scratch and it turned out perfect. beginners luck.

Thanks! It's a true work in progress haha. Yes to "bundt" pan - I was having just a heck of a time with waters this winter and finally just used that - seemed to work good! No more frozen waters and now I'm just too lazy to set up my summer water yet haha. Let's just say that this ones Angel Food Cake days are over haha

COOP UPDATE!!!


I thought you were going to remodel and fix that up to live in yourself! I was so impressed......

now.....\aaaaay,... not so much..

You can live in it when you come out and hunt pheasants

I'll throw a little cot up in the brooder room for you!!!! Pink is good for you right?

It's pretty much lived out it's life as house. Chimney has collapsed and something down below has sunk, causing the whole floor to sag in...It's definitely not OSHA approved....The walls are great! Need to be rechinked. We just put in windows...next comes roof and hooking up power. It will be a perfectly functional storage house/chicken coop/kitty room.
