Surviving Minnesota!

Okay. Feeling guilty and need to explain this after re-reading what I've typed.

I have chicken saddles in my cupboard. But they are for practical utilitarian use only. Bare - backed hens get skin ripped open by spurs and make for cold hens in -25 F.

Hey Ralphie - we could create a cocktail lounge on the river bank and dress it up and have a cover charge and $10. drinks. It could support out retirements. Just think of the possibilities!

What else do you have BC that I should be looking at? What does your Spring Coop Jacket look like?

I am not promising I won't steal that too.
Ooh, may I help? I'll drink serve the cocktails.

My spring jacket is anything with pockets that will hold nails. Seems like once the snow melts everything that was held together in winter by all the snow and ice falls apart at the same time, so nails at the ready is a necessity unless I wanna spend my whole day racing back to the house.

Racing back to the house for nails right? Not racing back to the house for anything else? Sitting here with a Kerr jar - pint size - only half full - of Muscato. However that is spent. That chicken coop really raised my spirts on this cloudy, getting cooler, afternoon. I toured my coops for a minute after that and came back into the house - out of the sprinkles - and there are TEN

Well, depending on how much is busted, racing back to the house for an adult beverage might be in order...

Ivie that whole blog is cute and I seriously should buy a muddler for fruit and herbs in my mojitos and such... but if you scroll down to where she has company over for cocktails and chickens... that's a cute one too. The photo of the lady looking away as the chicken flaps in her arms is hilarious.

I am thinking EJB, Jerry and myself will have to rent some snowshoes and hike in there next winter for some serious chickadee cuddling.
