Surviving Minnesota!

Siggie sorry to read of your loss.
Jerry nice to see the photos and to find that good progress is being made. Hope all went well on the home front while you were gone.
A Llama as opposed to a LGD is an alternative to consider. As I understand it, they will run off anything that should not be with the livestock. They will eat grass which eliminates the need for expensive dog food.

A llama is good, but I think you need 2 as they are a herd animal. I know a lady who had 2 to protect the sheep and chickens. She lost yhem to worms or parasites. You have to worm and stuff just like sheep.

You must be adorable. Can you ride the chickens?
hahaha

I would love a llama..HOWEVER... other people living here do not want to even talk about a llama. If I had my way I would fence in everything (house and yard included) and turn goats. llamas and a cow or two loose to mow everything and keep the critters away.
No horses?

Well the chainsaw problem was a wore out clutch bearing . No needle bearings left just a thin smeared race . Ace hardware had some . So that was good . The TV reception was fixed with a new end on coax to antena . My spotter last fall did not yell until I was pulling on it while putting the camper in the shed .I forgot about that . This trip I cut 2x10s and some 2x12s . Floor joists and beam support . About 96 total . 14 foot and 15 foot . Need 75 for joists and 9 to make the beam . Extras as not all were perfect . So I can cull some .

Sounds like you had a busy time.

Did you see, (speaking of lumber) Menard's and Home Depot are being sued for 5 million each because their 4x4's are only 3 1/2 x 3 1/2... DUH..

The lawyer suing claims all three men around the same time bought them for "home improvement" projects. Got them home and measured them and found out they were gypped..

All 3 happen to go to the same lawyer at the same law firm to file the suit...amazing isn't it?

(Speaking of frivolous lawsuits)...commentary is free today.
