Surviving Minnesota!

I can sound more like you..

I went out and found something had gotten into the guinea Gulag and killed at least 20 3/4 grown birds outright including most of white legbar shows and breeders.

I have a horizontal wire on this pen in 4 years of trying nothing has gotten inside. I found two places something tried to get inside but the horizontal wire stopped it. I see no breaches but the birds are dead.

I may have to revert to some evil way to kill them, I wish I knew what. With my going to be out of commission for 2-3 weeks I expect I will be birdless by mid August.

I am defeated!

I also know if this follows the last attack another 20 birds will die as a result of hidden wounds and injuries.

It sounds like you need a resident trapper/hunter. I send my sympathies...

That's terrible! Your having a bad time aren't you. You got to get a trail camera so you know exactly what your dealing with! Poor birds.

Destiny I am glad to see you are back! I was wondering where you were. Sorry to hear about all your losses. It seems like predators have been a lot worse this year than usual. At least for me? Best of luck catching your predators!

Just some random pics I had...

Good Afternoon Chickeners . . . . Man! Life is busy. You guys are rocking.
Jerryse - yep - thats purty big basement.
Ralphie - Pretty sick - yuck! So no surgery? And the chickens? Not good. So I have 23 now and am concerned that they could easily be wiped out. Then have to start over again.
So many new names on this thread. Welcome to each of you. Where is Holm?
So, me, the person that wants to downsize the flock, goes and gets two GLW and am letting the RIR sit on five eggs. It would be nice to replace on roo but we will see what the EE Roo produces with the hens I have. According to the source I got him from says he carries the gene to produce the green eggs

Well if not you can have summer he has to go somewhere. He was hatched in my daughters kindergarten class so she's very attached but I can't have roosters here
