I noticed last night that one of the girls was acting differently than the others. Usually when I go out there, they all come around and eat and drink. She stayed back, then just went and sat under the coop. I checked, no egg or anything.

This morning, when the kids let them out, they said one of the girls ate for second and then just went and sat back under the coop by herself...

Egg soon? Or something to keep an eye on?

Coffee cup in hand, I will go observe.

I don't know if I could put her in a cage and spray her with the hose.

You don't have tp spray her. Just dump a bucket of ice water over her head. You will need to d it several days, these Prima Dona's refuse to have their desires thwarted easily. The one time she was waterboarded like this she spent 5-6 days in the cage, I let her out and found her hogging a nest just a few hours later. 3 more days stopped the nonsense.

I'll be out of town for the week, but will try upon return. I think they look great. I had nothing to do with that, of course, but I'm pleased.
