Why?

Hard for me to explain, I just sense it. Something about the way the guy is walking to the mailbox and the way he turns around. I could be wrong but it seems off somehow.

I havnt dunked Princess yet I put her on the roost every night but she's back in the nest box in the am.
I gave some fertile eggs to a friend awhile back and the chicks are 3 weeks old now, she says one is picking on a meaty bird -she has them together because of space. So I wondered if I could give the mean chick to Princess?

Anybody have concern that the birds are getting too big? They have a blend of 20% starter and 16% layer now. Should be solely 16% by week's end.

How old are they? I don't think they are too big. I personally would have kept them on te 20% a little while longer but that's just me. I feed all my young birds 28% gamebird feed up until they start laying and even then some say on it for a week or two after the first egg. Then they go out (depending on breed) with the big girls.

Well I am in the cities for State. Have to head to the grounds at 4 to get in line for drop off. If any of you plan on being at the fair this week let me know! It's nice being able to put a face with a name.

The very best you can hope for is to share the title of worst Dad ever. I was given that award many times by my kids when they were young. Now that they are parents, I should see if I still have the title or they revoked it. It will be a few days before I will know if the title is revoked or not.

Because the best Daughter ever is with her family at their cabin today and leaves for 4-5 days of work in Texas somewhere and she is too busy to talk when working at another office...Worst Dad at least directed her well enough she has High Fluting job.....

I'm heading to St. Cloud today. Papa in the hospital with 3 brain lesions and a spot on his bronchi neurosurgery on Friday. Prayers needed. He's a tough old marine so hoping to get him through this and home fast.

thay chick would be too old and wont 'bond' with the broody, you need one that is 1-2 days old so it is still young enough to imprint on her and stick to her
