Our seedums always get lots of bees this time of year. Today we have a hundred or so butterflies/moths out there. There are several that are monarchs, but most are much smaller, similar coloring, but different pattern. What are they called?

Beautiful pic!
Painted Ladies are so pretty. We raised some once about 5 yrs ago. They might be Painted Lady butterflies.
I've had a couple of humming birds lingering, but I don't think they'll be here for long. They usually leave around the second week of September. There is a bumper crop of those painted lady butterflies up here too. That's the 2nd video I've seen of massive numbers of them. So neat. My garden has a bunch of bees and these painted ladies. Hummingbirds seemed to have moved on.
Tonight we saw 4 turkey hens with all their varied sized poults. Must have been 30 birds altogether. I'm thinking the hens are sisters (there were 9 last year) so it was good to see this group with the cousin poults!
We dug potatoes at mom and dads tonight. Kanebecs. They are huge and beautiful. My dad really did a lot of watering while they were blooming. I think it paid off.
Camper was winterized and put away today. Laundry day today as well. It felt good to be home on a Saturday and to be able to get things done. The whole month of August we were basically gone every weekend.
I like getting things done around the house. Tomorrow I'll focus on my flock and coop.
