Surviving Minnesota!

Good Morning Chickeners . . . .
I woke up wondering how the CLB fared in the judging yesterday. Anyone know?
I drove down and while driving through Watertown I picked up my five-year-old GS. I was informed while introducing him to Ralphie that his name is I - V - O - R and not Iver. The - OR - must be pronounced.
My first time intentionally
going to any type of a fowl show except for the State Fair and it is like the state fair. Eye candy for those of us that are chickeners. I am sure that ALL of you know this. I did not. Personally, I have become attracked to the Wyandottes. Well, anything with penciling. Ivor and I stayed about 1 1/2 hour - - - - maybe.
HOW DID THE CLB DO in the judging?

Now that's one pretty rooster. Yours? Did you beat holms??
Nice of you to post pics for Holms.

Congrats!!

That was MY winning Cockerel, not the cull Holm showed after he stole it from my pen..

I am home.... I have chickens to unload and chicken taco's to unwrap. The WWD is really happy for me and glad I brought home 3 new Chanticler Girls.

My SS beat out the other guy showing them again.... I only wish I had been able to show Cuddles.

I got my clock cleaned in the Chanticlers. Highest I got was Second place with Knuckle head in the cockerels. I am thinking breaking Mike Gilbert's legs next October will help my placement next year.

EJB That Legbar's comb is a has been. There is no way I will be able to keep that over winter.. I have not decided if I will breed him or not. While he has the color I like he has not filled out as much as I had hoped. I might be using last years roosters again on new hens to try and cement the size and shape on the girls before working on the boys some more.
