Surviving Minnesota!

Those tracks were too big for a bobcat...Unless your Brother has real dainty hands.

Are you sure Bobcat and not lynx or Cougar? I always thought the worse sound that sent shivers down my back was a bobcat....until I had the cougar outside my cabin screaming... That even had the dogs crawling under the bed.. I slept with the loaded shotgun right next to me that night!
My grandpa had Bobs in his backyard at the old place and he is positive that is what was screaming back there last night. We have a deer hode from hunting and we are going to put it back there with a game cam and see!

We had a coyote across the rode at about 5 this morning, about 50 yards away from the house. And 2 others 10 minutes ago across the creek. Time to bring the 243 up and start doing some morning shooting.

We had a really pretty sunrise this morning!

After a couple attempts at roosting on the slant I just put on the nesting boxes, the chickens figured out that wasn't going to work and opted to sleep on the roost, like big kids. And everyone survived.

And yes I do sit here and watch the chicken cam for a lot longer than a person should. Lucky chickens it's gonna be 50F again today and I have yard work to do so they will get to go outside again.

Growing up, I used to hear lynx regularly. Goose bumps.

We are going to get lights set up in the coop tonight. We found daylight bulbs and we are going the solar power route...
