No calf yet. But WOW! is that backside of hers SWOLLEN! It is sticking out like 2 inches and very jiggly-is that what they call 'springing calf' or something like that?
She keeps licking underneath her. and her teats look long now. SO EXCITED!!

Who would have thought -4 would feel so darn warm! I am excited to see the other side of 0 today too. Sounds like a nice day to watch a calf be born!

Yes how exciting, i'd like to see pictures too!

Bogtown chick sorry your pup is sick! You go to the country vet? My dog too, he's good.
Erli: I take her to Doc Adkins too. He's a great guy and reasonable and a straight shooter. When Jasmine died he called me at home and talked to me about what happened and what he thought could have and couldn't be done on our budget. I like that he thinks in practical terms.

Sadie's walking on her leg now but still a knot of swelling you can see on her right wrist joint.

Ralphie, most who use bands use various colored small zip ties for chicks. As the birds grow they switch to numbered leg bands or wing bands. I at one time used leg bands which the ABA sells.
Both leg bands and wing bands are available from many of the poultry supply retailers.

I saw that, I have small childrens Jewelry bands from Walmart, but I was reading when/if I get NPIP I need number bands.

Do you know is there an age they can be before you have to go to a number?
