Well I got informed last night that I have talked so much about the chickens that the SO no longer even wants them.

Guess I’ll have to switch to emus and see how quick he gets back on board the chicken train.
Hawks are one of the biggest issues I have except for stray dogs. I've lost several and interrupted many other attacks.Had a huge Bald Eagle in the yard... They have been here for the past 2-3 weeks and haven’t touched my birds yet. Never have lost a bird to hawks or Eagles and there are Red hawks that nest here and the eagles love the ponds. We also have a grey colored hawk that nests on the ground in the hay fields...
